A SHORT COURSE TO LAUGHTER (Ps. 126)

When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed.  Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them."  The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.  Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negev.  Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.  He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.
Reader, we wish to remind you that God told us that His long time promises are still valid if we can, as Christians, the children of God could play the game according to the rules. If we can behave and act in accordance with His will we will surely have all that we may require of Him. To have our requests met is one thing, it is another thing to have them at the time it will be best for us, i.e. we can ask God to accelerate it for us. As long as we have given our lives to Jesus, Jesus is our Advocate pleading for us on daily basis; He is our friend who loves us that He even gave His life to make us free from guilt.
There is a short course or route to bringing about the required joy/laughter in our life, praise, give thanks even when they have not manifested. Many people have tried this course and we can testify that it worked for them and surely it will still work for us today. May we illustrate this route this way; one may decide to travel from Abuja to Lagos. There are several ways by which one can achieve this; I mean ways to be taken. One may decide to go by road i.e. to travel on land; one may decide to go by air. They will both get to Lagos but not at the same time. The one going by land may spend ten hours to get to his destination. The man who travels by air will not take more than one hour. It is even possible for the one who travels by air to go to Lagos and come back to Abuja for about three times before the one on the road will get to Lagos.
Many a Christian today, though born-again for years still remains a toddler learning to walk. When will such start to run or fly? It is possible to facilitate your moment of laughter if you understand and discover the shortest route to it. Praise will guarantee you a space in the air craft that will accelerate your blessing and bring to pass all that God had destined for your life. In 2Chronicles chapter 20, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to sing praises to God while being confronted with a battle he could not have ordinarily won; within a jiffy he won the battle without a fight. Like we read in our text this morning, the Lord brought about the deliverance of Jerusalem at a time the Jews were not even expecting it. It was incredible as far as they were concerned since they lacked the power to achieve that on their own. This happened in about 701 B.C. during the reign of King Hezekiah, God sent His angels to destroy 185,000 Assyrians in one night (2Kgs. 19: 35). In your praise of Him, remind Him of some incredible things He had done in the time past and request that yours be not denied. In your praise of Him you can also pray for your friends (Job 42:10) and enemies if you have, then you will be able to travel by air and no longer by road.
We wish to pray for you that you will discover the shortest route to achieving your desires in good time in Jesus’ name. You may have been trying, praying and fasting and there has been no positive result, you will definitely get one if you can take the route of praise. Remain blessed in the Lord.

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL REJOICE (Ps.64:1-10)

THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL REJOICE (Ps.64:1-10)   Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy.  Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from that noisy crowd of evildoers.  They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows. They shoot from ambush at the innocent man; they shoot at him suddenly, without fear. They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say, “Who will see them?"  They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!" Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning. But God will shoot them with arrows; suddenly they will be struck down. He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake their heads in scorn. All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done. Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him! ...
