LET LOT LEAVE (Gen. 13:14-18)  The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."  So Abram moved his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the Lord.  Lot in the literal sense means “conceal, veil or covering.” It follows therefore that when you have a ‘Lot’ with you or in your company, your glory may not shine because there is a covering already. DELAY IS DANGEROUS (Gen. 19: 15-17) With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished." When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!" The Lord has instructed us that we should hold on to the Rock of Ages for there would be trouble in the world this month. One may then ask when we need to do that. What Is Meant By Abiding In Christ?

Text: John 15:4-6 Key verse: "Abide in me, even as I abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit in its own strength, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in me." ( John 15:4 ). The advanced learner’s English dictionary defines abide as “Something that continues for a long time and is not likely to change”. This depicts something like a long lasting bond such as in a relationship. Abide signifies a continuous uninterrupted relationship (Jesus said for you to be fruitful, you must abide in Him and without Him, you can do nothing. Let us look at it in a simple way by taking a human analogy. Assume that a person is by himself a weak person. Assume he has actually fallen to temptation and has made a mess of things and is fast sinking further and further into a degenerated state of mind, heart and body.
