"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
The world today is filled with darkness; we have the darkness of moral guilt, the darkness of religious error, and the darkness of spiritual ignorance. This is so serious that unless by a divine intervention, man cannot live right. However, God in His magnanimity has sent down to us the ‘Perfect Light’ – Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the light of the world (John 8: 12). This light we are talking about is not an ordinary light but a divine one. We are talking of the light of divine revelation; we now have the privilege to hear from God. He gave us the gift of clear vision to see things beyond the physical eyes. We are talking about the light of the Gospel dispensation. We now have the knowledge of the truth of the scripture, the correct interpretation of the bible. We are talking about the light of the Holy Spirit’s teaching i.e. the Spirit of the Most High God dwells in us, He admonishes us, and He guides us and illuminates our paths as we walk in the darkness of the world.
The church and the Christians are the light of the world now that we have received the Perfect Light into our lives. Now the question is, what should the church and the Christians do to make others receive the light? What can we do to make the church more attractive to those who are yet to embrace the Light God sent to us? What can we do to make multitude to become Christians? One of the things we must do is to make known the light that shines on us. Nations can only come to our light when we display the light in such a manner that will affect others positively, when they can benefit from the light we received. The church and the Christians must work now that is day for darkness will soon engulf the world when no one can work again. If you really have the light then work with it that people may see your good work and glorify your Father in heaven.
Another thing we must do as a matter of urgency is to genuinely work with the light. What do we mean by genuinely work with the light? Are you really sure all that you do are in consonance with the instruction of the Master? Are you playing the game according to the rules? You who should show forth the light of God to others are you not secretly patronizing the agents of darkness for solution to your challenges? Are you not found in places that are not fit for Christians to be? Are you not a pretender when you come to the congregation of the saints? Are we not behaving like sign post that directs people to a particular destination but never get there itself? A story is told of a city lamplighter who was born blind. At evening he would go round the specific junctions in the city as he has mastered it and lit the entire city. This would beautify the town as he illuminated the city but has no sense of what he was doing. He could not appreciate it at all. He was doing that for others but could not benefit than the stipend that the government paid him. Several Christians today are blind to the great Light God has given onto us i.e. Jesus Christ. We have allowed the enemies of peace to appoint our kings then how can the kings come to our light? Those who are no church members are even secretly using the light we radiate to their own benefit while the Christians still grown in penury. Rise up to your responsibility church and the Christians in the society and grab that which God had divinely prepared for your benefit. Remain blessed in the Lord.

Thursday: - Lord Jesus, let your light shine on everything that concerns me IJN
Friday: - Lord, continue to work wonders in Seed of Life that our light may become very attractive to the kings outside the fold IJN
Saturday: - Lord Jesus, let your light shine on Nigeria that all may come to you IJN
