POWER WILL CHANGE HAND (Esther 8:1-8).

POWER WILL CHANGE HAND (Esther 8:1-8).
That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.  The king took off his signet ring, which he had reclaimed from Haman, and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed him over Haman's estate. Esther again pleaded with the king, falling at his feet and weeping. She begged him to put an end to the evil plan of Haman the Agagite, which he had devised against the Jews.  Then the king extended the gold scepter to Esther and she arose and stood before him.  "If it pleases the king," she said, "and if he regards me with favor and thinks it the right thing to do, and if he is pleased with me, let an order be written overruling the dispatches that Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, devised and wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king's provinces.  For how can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my family?" …  Now write another decree in the king's name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king's signet ring — for no document written in the king's name and sealed with his ring can be revoked."
Whatever the situation you are going through now, it is for a while power will soon change hand. Are you being oppressed now? Are you being cheated now? Are you disappointed in one way or the other? Keep on doing the will of God because it is certain that power will soon change hand. You may find out that the wicked are even being promoted and blessed than you, just continue to please God; you will still come to inherit that which the wicked had labored for in the long run. This is what the bible says in Isaiah 61:6 “But you shall be named the priests of the Lord, they shall call you the servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast.” As long as you have the spirit of God controlling your life, you stand to be recognized as a priest of the most- high God. It therefore follows that what the unbelievers worked for will certainly become your reward at the end of the day.
We could see from our passage this morning that though Haman worked to acquire wealth for himself and probably for his family but at the end of it all they all became the reward for the man he hated greatly.
Mordecai was a slave in the land and was sitting at the gate of the king’s palace to display his wretchedness. He was hated by a powerful man, the second in command to the king, Haman. He even planed to annihilate Mordecai and his Jews counterparts. As God will have it, Haman died in his stead. It did not end there; Mordecai took over the position of Haman in the kingdom. Mordecai though a Jew became the second in command to the king in a foreign land. Has anyone told you that you cannot become anything where you are? If you really mean to glorify God in your life, keep on doing good because a time is coming when you will reap it. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Gal.6:9-10).  We could see that power changed hand and Mordecai was even more honored than Haman ‘the son of the soil’. You can as well become great in life if you can continue with doing good not minding what the enemies are doing to oppose you. You will not only wear the king’s garment but you will be promoted and have all the goodies attached to the office of the king in the name of Jesus Christ. Remain blessed in the Lord.

LET LOT LEAVE (Gen. 13:14-18) by PASTOR R.O.Ogunkunle

LET LOT LEAVE (Gen. 13:14-18)  The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."  So Abram moved his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the Lord.  Lot in the literal sense means “conceal, veil or covering.” It follows therefore that when you have a ‘Lot’ with you or in your company, your glory may not shine because there is a covering already. It was Abram that God called to leave his people for another place and not Lot. For sympathy or love for family member, he decided to allow Lot to follow him. Little by little Lot was covering the glory of God in his l

DELAY IS DANGEROUS

DELAY IS DANGEROUS (Gen. 19: 15-17) With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished." When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!" The Lord has instructed us that we should hold on to the Rock of Ages for there would be trouble in the world this month. One may then ask when we need to do that. The time is now because delay is dangerous. As we could see from the above passage, Lot’s wife looked back though they have been instructed not to and she perished. Not that she just looked but while others were going forward holding on to the Rock of

The 7 Characteristics Of An Eagle And Why They Are Lessons For Good Leadership

1. Eagles Have Vision If you ever happen to see an eagle sitting high above the tree or cliff of a stiff mountain, watch closely and see how attentive the bird is. The body sits still and the head will be tilted side to side to observed what is happening below, around and above it. Even if its flying close by, you can observe how keen its eyes are looking for its prey. Eagles have a keen vision. Their eyes are specially designed for long distance focus and clarity. They can spot another eagle soaring from 50 miles away. Does this characteristic ring a bell in your mind? I am sure it does. Look at great leaders of this world who have come and gone. There are many great leaders that came and went but one characteristic that is common in all is "Vision". Vision is a successful leadership characteristic Take Abraham Lincoln for example. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, guided his country through the most devastating experience in its national h
