I WILL WALK ABOUT IN FREEDOM (Ps. 119:41-48

I WILL WALK ABOUT IN FREEDOM (Ps. 119:41-48)
1 May your unfailing love come to me, O Lord,
your salvation according to your promise;
42 then I will answer the one who taunts me,
for I trust in your word.
43 Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth,
for I have put my hope in your laws.
44 I will always obey your law,
for ever and ever.
45 I will walk about in freedom,
for I have sought out your precepts.
46 I will speak of your statutes before kings
and will not be put to shame,
47 for I delight in your commands
because I love them.
48 I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love,
and I meditate on your decrees.

Several people are walking the street in serious bondage while the price for their freedom has been paid for. Jesus had paid the price in full on the cross of Calvary. The only qualification for one to walk about in freedom always is to have Christ as Lord and Savior i.e. give oneself for Christ. However, it is saddening to note that there are several church members who have confessed Christ as their Lord and Savior but are still in one type of bondage or the other. The fact that you are seen as a staunch member of a bible believing church does not mean you can walk about in total freedom. God is Spirit and you need His spirit so that you can walk in freedom all the days of your life. The bible says in 2Cor. 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” For anyone to walk in total freedom, such must first become a disciple of Jesus Christ genuinely. In Jn. 8: 31-32 Jesus said, “if you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  If our "walk" agrees with our "talk." The best defense of the faith is a transformed life that is compassionate toward others. Our obedience to the Lord and our loving ministry to others (Matt 5:13-16) demonstrates the reality of our faith far better than anything else. Because we know and obey "the word of truth" (v. 43), we are able to enjoy freedom from the bondage of sin (v. 45), for it is the truth that makes us free (John 8:32; James 1:25; 2:12).
Precept is a rule, instruction, or principle that guides somebody’s actions, especially one that guides moral behavior. So it follows therefore if you must walk about in total freedom from now onward, you must play the game according to the rules. To find out the precepts of God, you need to meditate in His given word every day of your life and let it be seen in you all the time. Some people’s bondage are things that we give little or no regard for, things like cheating the government, some little sins, smoking, drunkenness, extortion, debauchery, gluttony and for some it is selfishness. You have been saved how many have been saved through your effort? If you truly want to be free then you need to share the word of God with others so that God can through your effort convict and convert others to Himself. This is how you will know if you are walking in total freedom, you will not be ashamed of sharing the word of God with others, it will come naturally. One thing is also certain, what you don’t have you cannot give. Do you want to be free? Then walk straight to Jesus. He is the only one who can set you free from everything that easily entangles. Come. He will help you to walk about in total freedom henceforth. Remain blessed in the Lord.

LET LOT LEAVE (Gen. 13:14-18) by PASTOR R.O.Ogunkunle

LET LOT LEAVE (Gen. 13:14-18)  The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, "Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."  So Abram moved his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the Lord.  Lot in the literal sense means “conceal, veil or covering.” It follows therefore that when you have a ‘Lot’ with you or in your company, your glory may not shine because there is a covering already. It was Abram that God called to leave his people for another place and not Lot. For sympathy or love for family member, he decided to allow Lot to follow him. Little by little Lot was covering the glory of God in his l

DELAY IS DANGEROUS

DELAY IS DANGEROUS (Gen. 19: 15-17) With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, "Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished." When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, "Flee for your lives! Don't look back, and don't stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!" The Lord has instructed us that we should hold on to the Rock of Ages for there would be trouble in the world this month. One may then ask when we need to do that. The time is now because delay is dangerous. As we could see from the above passage, Lot’s wife looked back though they have been instructed not to and she perished. Not that she just looked but while others were going forward holding on to the Rock of

The 7 Characteristics Of An Eagle And Why They Are Lessons For Good Leadership

1. Eagles Have Vision If you ever happen to see an eagle sitting high above the tree or cliff of a stiff mountain, watch closely and see how attentive the bird is. The body sits still and the head will be tilted side to side to observed what is happening below, around and above it. Even if its flying close by, you can observe how keen its eyes are looking for its prey. Eagles have a keen vision. Their eyes are specially designed for long distance focus and clarity. They can spot another eagle soaring from 50 miles away. Does this characteristic ring a bell in your mind? I am sure it does. Look at great leaders of this world who have come and gone. There are many great leaders that came and went but one characteristic that is common in all is "Vision". Vision is a successful leadership characteristic Take Abraham Lincoln for example. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, guided his country through the most devastating experience in its national h
